Courtship at House of Blues

Courtship, an spirited synth pop group from Los Angeles, played the Bronze Peacock on Sunday. They credit Blink 182, Stevie Wonder, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, STRFKR, Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper among their musical influences  and at times their sound was vaguely reminiscent of a little Empire of the Sun but more cheerful. While they only have a handful of songs in their music repertoire, they’re steadily gaining in popularity.

Their most recent single, “Sunroof,” was featured in a Custom Stories launch campaign last summer.

During their House of Blues set, their songs “Perfect People” and the more recent “Bad Fun” were real crowd-pleasers, with the young crowd clapping along.
