250 pieces of mobile folk art made their way through the streets of downtown for the 32nd Annual Houston Art Car Parade, powered by Orange Show Center for Visionary Art.
The forecast for the day seemed spotty, but the whimsical nature of the festival could not be dampened by the occasional dark cloud cover.
The parade kicked off with a marriage officiated by Santa Claus and one of the wedding attendees included Mayor Sylvester Turner. After the vows were exchanged, the parade commenced and the streets were soon teeming with art cars.
