On Monday, September 17, 2018, Ramin Djawadi – creator of the iconic score for GoT – and an 80-piece orchestra will bring the harrowing sounds of Westeros to the Toyota Center.

The Man Behind the Music

Ramin Djawadi hails from Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, the son of an Iranian mother and German father.

He told NPR’s David Green that The Magnificent Seven is what led him to become a film composer.

Before he composed the indelible theme song that we all hum before doing something profoundly epic (or is that just me?), Djawadi found his big break when he was asked to compose the score for 2004’s Blade: Trinity in collaboration with The RZA.

He’s gone on to become a rising composer, scoring such films as Iron Man (2008),  Clash of the Titans (2010), and Pacific Rim (2013),  Xbox One’s Gears of War 4 (2016) and the theme for Fox’s Prison Break (2005).

For his latest film project, he was tapped to score Ava DuVernay’s highly anticipated film adaption of A Wrinkle in Time.  Touring both Europe and North America, the Live Concert Experience will feature all new music, visuals, and stage design.
